Pam and I have just returned from doing part of the Alps2ocean track in New Zealand. We used the alternate start at Lake Tekapo rather than Mt. Cook and finished at Omarama, just three stages. In fact the last stage was quite rough and mountainous, so we went by road to Omarama and spent the day cycling around the area.

Lucky with the weather, we had magnificent views of the mountains and lakes.
